The International\nWomen’s Rights Day was an opportunity for DEF Network to show that every day\nwomen play a major part in technical and commercial professions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Breaking\nstereotypes and giving passionate women greater access to technical and\ncommercial positions in the industrial sector is one of DEF Network’s major\nambitions. This drive is seen in many different efforts made by the Women of\nthe Future Collaborative Circle, and in the partnership with the Elles bougent!\nassociation, as well as the higher value placed on women, who provide DEF\nNetwork with their expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rapha\u00eblle Taesch\nis one of them. The design office manager in the DEF North East agency since\nJune 2018, she was immediately struck by an interest for electricity\nduring a visit in a professional secondary school. “The view of electrical\nswitchboards really shocked me,” she said with a smile. With my two\nbrothers and my mechanic father, we would spend our time taking everything\napart to see how it worked.” Since then, she has followed her passion and\nnow works in her preferred field, low-current electricity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Working on a\ntechnical subject is not exactly a choice, it’s just what I like to do,”\nRapha\u00eblle explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With these values,\nRapha\u00eblle Taesch got involved with Elles Bougent! association, which promotes\nthe professions of engineer and technician among young women. In this context,\nshe already participated in several events to convey her passion and maybe\nspark the desire for adolescents to enter into these professions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Rapha\u00eblle is not\nthe only woman passionate about technical professions.
