Smoke extraction

Mechanical smoke extraction is one of the essential means used to secure buildings. It enables the evacuation of fumes and thus contributes to the safety of people, by facilitating the evacuation of occupants of an establishment. The mechanical extraction of fumes also contributes to the safeguarding of structures. Mechanical smoke extraction is automatically activated in case of a fire by the Fire Detection System (SDI) with which it must be interfaced via the Fire Safety Control Panel (CMSI).

In many cases, the regulation requires smoke extraction and associated automatic management procedures. To advise you, the DEF Network has expertise in standards and regulations applicable to smoke extraction, and can provide the interface between the different trades to ensure compliance and consistency of installations during site acceptance.
